Follow these steps for safe and effective application:

1. Power off and disconnect the device. Remove battery (if feasible) or ensure board has no power.

2. Remove large debris (use air-blower or brush) so the spray can work directly on the surface.

3. Apply the cleaning spray/liquid:

   • If it’s a spray: Aim the nozzle slightly above the PCB or connector, apply a light mist.

   • If liquid: Use a lint-free swab or brush dipped in the cleaner and apply gently.

4. Brush lightly with a soft anti-static brush to help lift residues, especially around solder joints, connectors and ports.

5. Dry the board: Use gentle compressed air or let evaporate naturally. Many of these cleaners are fast-evaporating and leave no residue.

6. Inspect under microscope: Check for any remaining contaminants, corrosion, sticky glue etc. Clean again if needed.

7. Proceed with assembly/re-flow/repair once the board is clean and dry.
